*Started dancing in 1969 at 10 years old in Indianapolis, Indiana.
*Joined the Indiana Twirlers, a teenagers precision exhibition group in 1970.
*Started calling in 1972.
*Took over as caller for the Indiana Twirlers in 1973. We performed at the National Square Dance Convention in San Antonio, Texas.
*Have taught multiple classes each year since 1974 in Indiana and Florida. Including two classes of Blind students at the Indiana School for the Blind, while I, myself, also attended Attacks High School studying at the Indianapolis public schools center for instructional radio and television my senior year.
*Attended ButlerUniversity’s JordanCollege of Music, studying radio and television.
*Have attended several caller colleges and workshops, including Promenade Hall Caller’s College taught by Jones, Davis and Shavier, two of the Kentucky Caller Association College one was instructed by Bill Peters, Cal Golden and Parish, the other instructed by Bill Peters, Cal Golden and Stan Burdick; and many Indiana Square Dance Callers Association weekend caller workshops.
*Married Dee in April 1979.
*Was a staff caller on Lore Records and then on JoPat Records?
*Started two record labels, Solid Gold Records and Yellow Rose Records, of which I remain the current owner and producer.
*Worked for the Indiana National Bank until October 1986 when I quit to start my new career as a full time, traveling caller.
*Moved to Fort Myers, Florida, for the winter, in 1990 through 1992. Where I ran a very successful program of Basic through A-2.
*Have appeared on several Local TV and Radio Station programs as well as lengthy segments of Good Morning America.
*Am a Past President of the Greater Indianapolis Caller Association.
*Regularly travel in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia ,Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas , Alabama, Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, Louisiana, Mississippi Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Europe.
*Joined Callerlab and attended the Callerlab Convention in 1977. I joined the IndianaState Callers Association in 1972.
*Was a staff caller at EnglishMountain for 8 years.
* Have been a staff caller of several festival’s including Ipac in Germany, September Fest at Kentucky Dam, Lincoln City Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska, the Tulip Festival in Tulip City Michigan, the Spring Jamboree in Ashland, Kentucky, the Strawberry Festival in Joliet, Illinois, the International Singles Festival in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Chicago Area Association Sweetheart Dance in Chicago, Illinois, Mystic Fjords held in Hummel, Denmark, IPAC in Germany, Tammany Twirles festival slidell, Al, kansas state festival and many more.
*Am currently calling full time and travel across the country as well as the club caller for five clubs in the Indianapolis, Indiana area and two in Cincinnati, Ohio, and snowbird program in Harlingen Tx, in the RIO GRAND VALLEY.
